Organized by Informa Markets Asia Ltd., Taiwan Branch (Informa Taiwan) and co-organized by Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan (COA), Asia Agri-tech Expo & Forum will take place on 10^th ~ 12^th of November 2022 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1, which co-located with Livestock Taiwan Expo & Forum and Aquaculture Taiwan Expo & Forum. Cold Chain & Meat Taiwan first launched in 2022, which is in response to Taiwan government’s policies on industries upgrading and the procurement needs of on-site exhibitors and visitors in Livestock & Aquaculture Taiwan exhibitions to renew and/or refurbish their production equipment. The aim of this 4-in-1 exhibition is to make Taiwan become one of the hubs for Asian agriculture, livestock, and aquaculture value chain.

Ms. Sabine Liu, the general manager of Informa Taiwan stated that: “Taiwan constantly advancing itself and well-known in agriculture, livestock, and aquaculture research and development in Asia since 1960. Under the development of high-tech electronic industry and biotechnology industry, Taiwan obtains conditions for success to develop smart agriculture, livestock, aquaculture. And that’s the most important factor to drive COA to co-organize the Asia Agri-tech Expo & Forum with Informa Taiwan under the theme of “Eco-friendly, Innovation, Sustainability”, and hope to accelerate the upgrade of agricultural and cold chain industry to make Taiwan become one of the important hubs for Asian agricultural industry.”

There are 220 exhibitors from 15 countries/region occupy about 10,000 square meters exhibiting space in Asia Agri-tech Expo 2022. Netherland pavilion will showcase vegetable seeds, greenhouse, and cold chain technologies; Denmark pavilion will display pig breeding, cloud farming management system, auto feeding, and slaughterhouse equipment. Taiwan Agricultural Technology Pavilion organized by COA, will exhibit over 60 leading agriculture, livestock, and aquaculture technologies and products by 22 exhibitors; Pingtung Biotechnology Park Pavilion’s 9 exhibitors will debut Circular Economy technologies, smart agriculture, and cold chain products; Industry Technology Research Institute (ITRI) will organize “Swine Industry Upgrade and Low-carbon Environmental Protection Sustainability Pavilion”.

Furthermore, COA will launch 35 new agricultural achievements in the afternoon on 10^th of November, such as “The development and application of waste medium reduction technology for produced and renewed in Oncidium", “The technology of biodegradable materials for fruit  vegetable production”, “The development of food processing technology and utility on cabbage”, “Comprehensive utilization of citrus by-products”, and variety of pesticide reduction technologies and applications.

There are also plenty of new technologies will be exhibited in show, for example, disease resistant aquatic fries, all male breeding technology for shrimps, Fishery and Electricity Symbiosis technologies from aquaculture sector; Tea DNA Fingerprint Identification, crawler type branch shredder, and leafy vegetable harvester from agriculture sector; Livestock rapid response processing equipment, and purify germplasm through genome sequencing technologies from livestock sector.

There will be over 40 professional conferences during 3 days of show dates, including “The opportunities of net zero carbon in the swine industry” from ITRI, “Establishment of Intelligent Production System for Seeds and Seedlings” that organized by Food and Fertilizer Technology Center for the Asia And Pacific Region and Taiwan Seed Improvement and Protection Station, COA, “Build Up Win-win Industry Chain-Insight of Fishery and Electricity Forum 2022” that organized by Taiwan Ocean University & The Fisheries Society Of Taiwan and co-organized by COA and Taiwan Fisheries Association, “Taiwan Cold China Logistics Solution & Implementation Proposal in ASEAN” from Taiwan Cold Chain Association, “Alltech ONE conference: Working Together for a planet of plenty” from Taiwan Alltech Co., Ltd..

Onsite activities include “Top 100 Swine Elite Club 20 Anniversary” and “Asia Golden Dragon Award for Global Best Practice of IoT and Smart Service” from Taiwan Internet of Things Alliance.
